Bio
A native of Haymarket, VA, Dr. Hannah Starr graduated from Battlefield High School and received her bachelor’s in biotechnology from James Madison University. After graduation, she worked in the eyecare field for one year as an optometric technician and later earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry.
Dr. Starr completed several clinical rotations through the various departments of The Eye Center in Memphis, TN. She also completed an institutional rotation in Virginia Beach, where she gained experience in post-operative care and ocular disease. Her final rotation was completed in a specialty dry eye and ocular aesthetics clinic. During this rotation, she was trained in advanced dry eye technology, including Intense Pulsed Light and Radiofrequency.
She is board-certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO). She is also certified in ophthalmic injections and minor surgical procedures. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Florida Optometric Association (FOA).
Dr. Starr enjoys spending time with her husband, who is currently serving in the Navy as an instructor pilot. In her free time, she likes hiking, camping, and exploring Pensacola.
