Jan 08, 2026 · Terrezza News

Registration is now open for Terrezza Optical Group’s annual Doctors with a Heart program, which will take place on Feb. 13. In its 39th year, this community outreach program provides free eye exams and eyeglasses to low-income, uninsured patients.

To begin the registration process, participants must call one of the practice’s participating offices and request registration. A staff member will follow up with each registrant to conduct a brief phone interview to determine eligibility and schedule an appointment for Feb. 13. Program openings are on a first-come, first-served basis, and patients are encouraged to call as soon as possible to begin the registration and verification process.

Florida patients may call the Milton office at 850.623.0319, the Navarre office at 850-407-5996, or, in Pensacola, the Palafox office at 850.434.2060, the Fairfield office at 850.456.5059, or the Baptist Hospital location at 850.407.9474. Alabama patients may call the Fairhope location at 251.383.2052 to register. Registration is now full at our Foley office. (Updated 1/26/26)

Held each year on or near Valentine’s Day, the Doctors with a Heart concept originated in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1987, when a local dentist sought to establish a national day of service to provide quality dental care to those in need. Over nearly 40 years, the program expanded to include multiple healthcare disciplines, including eye care.
