Andrew E. Kortz, M.D.

Eye Physician & Surgeon

Andrew E. Kortz, M.D. obtained his Bachelors of Science degree from University of Florida, Gainesville and went on to post graduate coursework at Cambridge University, England. Dr. Kortz earned his medical degree from Columbia University in New York, NY in 1991 then continued his training in Ophthalmology at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. while serving in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Kortz went on to complete a Fellowship in cornea transplantation and LASIK surgery at Emory University in Atlanta in 1992.

As a Naval Doctor for ten years, Dr. Kortz was able to serve his country as a staff Ophthalmologist and Flight Surgeon in several locations around the country including Oakland Naval Hospital, NAS Whidbey Island, WA, and Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital, Camp Lejeune, NC. While in the Navy he was also stationed in Pensacola. He found that he liked both the people and the climate of the Florida panhandle and has practiced in the greater Pensacola area since 2002.

Dr. Kortz is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, certified by The American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kortz is exceedingly well trained and has extensive experience dealing with a broad array of eye problems and diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, eye plastics, retina and cornea related problems. Dr. Kortz is a highly accomplished eye surgeon. Dr. Gene Terrezza is proud and feels privileged that Dr. Kortz has joined the practice.

Optometrist Dr. Terrezza has been in practice in Milton, Pensacola, and Mobile for 34 years. Primary eye care is his prime concern. Contact lenses and specialty fits for keratoconus and bifocals are also a significant part of his practice.

Ruben E. Carlson, O.D.

Optometrist Dr. Carlson specializes in complete family eye care, including routine vision exams, glasses and Contact lenses, therapeutic interventions, dry eyes, and pre-operative and post-operative Management of cataract and refractive surgery patients.

Dr. Carlson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He does not miss a chance to chase the crazy white ball that never goes straight down the fairway, and he loves almost all sports. He is a Boston Red Sox Enthusiast, and he is active in his local church group.



John Imm

John Imm is an ocularist with 12 years of experience. He provides his service throughout the Panhandle of Florida and parts of Alabama. Mr. Imm moved to Pensacola and established his office in 2002. Mr. Imm is originally from the St. Louis metro area. He trained to be an ocularist with Bruce Cook, a very accomplished ocularist in St. Louis. During the five years of training, John was fortunate enough to work weekly at the Anheuser-Busch Eye Institute of St. Louis University. There, he gained valuable training experience.

Mr. Imm's office is very service oriented. Him and his trained staff make every effort to make his patients feel comfortable and at ease about the entire process. His way of making his patients more comfortable about the loss of an eye is to create a prosthesis as undetectable by others as possible. John enjoys working with children whom he fits prosthetic eyes for reasons such as injury, birth defects, retinal blastoma, and disease.

Mr. Imm is married with three children. He is committed to the areas he serves.
